Born in Saint John, New Brunswick, Reg was exposed to music his whole life. His mother used to sing with her four other sisters in and around Saint John in the late 50's and 60's. Their brother, Charlie Clark, was the guitarist in the Canadian band "The Bells" in the early 70's who went on to have a string of hits in Canada and a #1 billboard hit in the States with "Stay Awhile".
Reg began writing seriously in 1984 and has hundreds of songs in his private catalog from all genres. His main style is that of a blend of rock, folk, and alternative as well as some traditional country. Classically trained, Reg's number one instrument is the guitar but he also plays mandolin and piano.
His first band was called "The Sparrows". Formed around 1977, they consisted of some neighborhood school mates and would play in Reg's backyard, mostly to his grandparents who lived downstairs. In 1984 Reg moved to Burlington, Ontario with his parents and this change fueled his creative side and Reg began to realize that he had a talent for song writing. In late 1985 Reg formed a band with two Art class friends. The band was called "Under The Influence", and would continue to grow and perform right up until 1994 throughout Southern Ontario.
In 1995 Reg moved to Halifax, Nova Scotia where he played off and on as a solo performer around the province. He moved back to New Brunswick in 1999 and began work with a theatre company as a musician, actor, and a script writer.
in 2005 Reg moved to Toronto and founded "Corduroy Road". Corduroy Road is the culmination of all of Reg's musical journeys to date, and they are currently working on their third CD. They are an Alt/Country band and have Two CD's to their credit, one of which was short listed for a Juno nomination in 2008.
As Corduroy Road continues to perform and grow the brand's popularity, Reg continues to write music both for the band and for himself. With Corduroy Road now in its seventeenth year of existence and firmly established, Reg is pursuing other songwriting opportunities by way of music publishing.
